Meet Brett Clawson

Brett Clawson is a dedicated public servant with a proven track record of leadership and collaborative problem-solving. As a current member of the Vineyard City Council, Brett was appointed from a pool of 20 candidates and quickly established a reputation for thoughtful analysis, building trust and fostering collaboration among elected officials. He most recently led a subcommittee to establish a new Code of Conduct for elected officials.

Professionally, Brett has 20+ of experience as a product leader primarily in the financial technology sector including 12 years at investment bank regulator FINRA (Financial Industry Regulatory Authority).

Whether it’s developing products or legislative policies, Brett consistently delivers well thought out solutions that drive alignment and results. His approach is characterized by strategic thinking, data-driven decision-making, and a commitment to working collaboratively to achieve common goals.

Brett holds an MBA in Information Systems from the University of Maryland and a Bachelor of Arts in English from Brigham Young University. He is committed to bringing his experience, leadership, and collaborative attitude to the challenges and opportunities facing Vineyard, building a brighter future for all residents.
